Two of my fish in my 20g have some sort of ailment that is visible on their scales. They are little blister looking bumps that are reddish/yellowish.
I only noticed these blister-like things on two of my fish this thursday, none of the other fish seem to have it. My one oto also looks to have cataracts (not popeye) and more of a curved spine than usual, but no blisters. I only noticed my oto looking like this just this week, not sure if it's related to what my two other fish are going through.

My 20 just got over an ich breakout that lasted for the past two weeks, and during that time I didn't do a water change on the tank. I normally change 30% of the water every week, and just did about a 50% change on monday of this week to help get rid of the salt from the ich treatment. The ich was brought on by some cories I recently added to the tank. During the ich treatment, I lost one cory, 2 otos whose corpses I never even saw ( I assume they're dead because I haven't seen them for days), and 2-3 baby bn's. I think a combo of the ich treatment and dying fish has brought upon this new sickness for my fish.

I have photos for reference, so if anyone can help me ID this sickness, I'd be grateful. I tried researching it online, and it sounds like it could be a lot of things. One illness that seemed to sort of match the illness my fish are experiencing is fish tb. I really hope that's not what it is, as I read that treatment for affected fish is futile, and that the best thing to do is euthanize the affected and unaffected fish alike. Plus, I would be susceptible to getting fish tb just by handling the fish without strict precaution.

The rainbow has only one blister on his side, while the ram has 2 on one side (pictured) and one on the other side.

TIA

Hey Sara, sorry to hear your having a bad time of it with the fish. Wish I could help but I'm not familiar with what's wrong with them. Hopefully someone will be able to offer you some help. Hang in there!

could it be something like an anchor worm???

looks like something parasitic. i just looked up velvet, but doesnt sound like it...

have you tried prazi-pro? its a very gentle anti-parasite medication

Sorry, I don't know what that is. If you have two missing ottos then your water must surely have gotten pretty bad from the decomposition. Did you get a reading on the ammonia and nitrites before you did that last water change?

It could possibly be some sort of bacterial infection. I would try to keep the water pristine, add .5 tsp of salt per 10 gallons to help with breathing and promote slime coat and try melafix since it is gentle and has antibacterial action.

It can't hurt, and if things worsen you may need to try something else; whatever it is may become more obvious and someone can recommend something to target whatever it is.
