please help! what is coming out of my danio's butt?? PICS

this huge pink bulbous "thing" is coming out of the back end of my zebra danio! it's the only one in the tank with this problem, but the other danio's don't look as good as they use to.

has anyone ever seen anything like this before? what the heck is it??!!

Seems to me his organs are popping out. One thing for sure,doesn't look good.

Definitely looks like a prolapse, so that's not a good thing.

I had that same thing happen to some black tetras that I was given. Bad news they all died with in a few days.

Prolapse... really sorry. As it shows more signs of stress, I would be prepared to euthanize as there is relly nothing that can save the specimen.... poor little guy.

This may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by "euthanize" a fish?
