son of a b... :swear:
I lost her tonight.
My tank seemed weird yesterday before I left for work. There seemed to be a lot of sediment in the water (larger particles, not just cloudy). Didn't appear to be plant matter or fish waste, just really weird but the fish seemed fine (just the BN Pleco and my Pictus cat that I've had for 5 years). I came home from work and tested the water (0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites, 5ppm nitrates, 7.2pH) and did a 50% water change as I do every week and dosed some prime.
I came home from work today to find my pictus acting a little sluggish but the pleco loafing happily on the drift wood. Tested water params again with the same results. I blanched a cucumber for the BN to eat and shut off the lights. I checked on them about two hours later and the pleco was on the glass and my pictus was in its usual spot but the cucumber was untouched. Checked them again about an hour after that and the pleco was belly up on the bottom. No outer signs of injury or disease and her color was good.
