I lean towards a growth, but I have little experience with them . You could try a combo of Maracyn-Maracyn2 to help rule out a fungal issue, but I usually advise against medication without identifying the illness first. It could be a growth that started from damage of a physical nature and then healed with issues. Wish I could help more.
