Plywood tank build

Sorry, Ive been very busy being a Marine lately. Tanks all sanded and Im having a HELL of a time finding glass in the Jacksonville NC area. Any suggestions for ordering a piece 8'x2'. Ive called numerous plate glass in the area and all have said in a nut shell, "I'll call our supplier and get back to ya" So now Im contemplating Acrylic, just consernd about bonding to plywood with it somehow.
SEMPER FI!!

Thanks navyscuba, this town really sucks, if you want anything outta the ordinary. Now if I was back home in Chicago, Id have about 30 places to go for glass, LOL. Gotta love the military life.

Mike, if you need to you can drive up my way and get your glass. Yes, it's a 3 hour trip each way, but it's for a fish tank and you need to get your priorities straight.:D If you end up going acrylic, the nice thing is that I have had good results getting PC to bond to acrylics. If you end up needing the glass from up my way, I'd be willing to pick it up for you and meet you half way if that will help. I have a feeling you can find it closer then 3 hours!

Thanks man I will keep that in the back of my mind. Havent given up completely on around here yet. Doing some searching in the Wilmington area also.

Alright was thinking, could I get a 4x 8 sheet of acrylic At 1/4" cut in half length wise, then put pond coat around 3" border and sandwich together. Do they even carry this a HD or Lowe's? Will it hold? MMM... What do they say about Nesecity being the mother of all invention, or something like that, LOL
