Poll, How deep is your substrate?

My fluorite substrate is only 2.5" to 3" deep. I am thinking it should be about an inch deeper. How deep is yours?

1/2 inch to maybe an inch of moonsand in the shrimp tanks. way easier to clean. In my big tank, about an inch of flourite.

As deep or as shallow as it needs to be for the tank(s) and/or the type of flora.
Also depends on the substrate and the scape.

Mine is at 3 inches. I believe it is the perfect depth because every plant I plant stays planted and doesnt uproot.

I think as long as its 2.5"+ it should be great for the plants. In my experience i noticed that with deeper amount of substrate the plants take on a bigger root structure and grow better than say 1" of substrate.
