Poll, How deep is your substrate?

Mines around 2"...my 55 varies because the little shellies like to move the sand around:wall:

About two, guess I'll vote the first option... I'd like it deeper, but that's until I can replace the substrate.

I had 150# in my 125, which was about 4" deep. I have scooped out enough to put 1 1/2 inches in 2 10 gal aquariums, and might pull out some more for my 37 soon...

Seems like the 1 1/2 inches may not be enough to keep lthe plants rooted..might add more.

I have only about 1-1.5 inches of small size gravel in my 10g. I should probably have more

Mine varies from < 1 inch (flourite black sand) to 2.5 at most (small gravel). I have 2 different pool filter sands (1+ & 1.5) & eco complete (~2) too.

I have mine at 2.5 in the front and it increases deeper and deeper to the back. Up to around 4ish to 4.5 inches.

How about less than 2"? i barely have 1' in most of my tanks and 3 in my planted tank.

well it used to be around 2.5" to 3" or so before i meved (now it's only like 2")

what tank lol.... it just depends on what you have in there. some of my tanks shallow in front deep in the back.... others flat. plants like swords crypts do better in deeper substrate.
