Hi, I would like to keep a porcupine puffer a lone, I plan on making the tank FOWLR. Depending on tank size but probaly about 90lbs of rock so it has a decent filter. I have had experience with a 90g fo tank with a canister filter. I ended up getting ich that would not go away, i tried everything, what would happen is I could get the ich off the fish by doing dips but it would come right back, i even did the low salt method correctly. It really scared me away from saltwater as I lost a dog face puffer that I was close to. I want to take another shot at it and this time try taking a canister filter out of the situation and add live rock. Is a 90g just to small for this guy? My feeling is maybe in when he grows up he might get to long for a 18" wide tank, your thoughts?
And my other question is about filtration, I want to make a simple basic sump that will house a skimmer, a middle compartment that will hold some rich live sand and live rock, maybe algae and a small PC light.
thanks
