post your jack dempsey here :D

It sounds as if you have got a mean JD there, some JD won't let you put any other fish in their tank with them.[/quote]

yeah, i know.....they all grew up together and when he was big enough to swallow them, swallow them he did.....i came into my room one day and 1 of my bala sharks tails was sticking out of his mouth....my girlfriend yelled at him and said "bad Jack dempsey"....lol

I'd love to post a pic of my JD, but the brat is always hiding!!! He's about 10" and is the biggest chicken in the tank. I think he may be a professional lurker....

An older pic of my rescued male JD.

I have a male and a female. My male is pretty good looking and my female is really light and washed out looking but she likes me so I like her to. My male hides most the time and my tank has water spots on the inside that are a pain to scrub, Ill try for some pics when my tank actually looks good, hahaha.

I've hand my JD for about two years and my EBJD for three months, the EBJD is in a growout tank until he is big enough to be introduced into my cichlid tank. I feed them on beefheart, prawns, dry cichlid sticks and a frozen cichlid mix which has beefheart, bloodworm, shrimp and spinach in it.

Yea I have one of those. these spots are from when the tank was a sw tank that my mom neglected after her last fish died she left it running for a year. I thought I had it clean but you seriously have to scratch them with your finger nail or take a scrub pad and go to town. I do a little at a time with water changes so Im not making my fish mad.

probably just take it easy till they move to there 75gallon home, then Ill tear the 55 down and give it a vinegar scrub down.
