Well, it's hard to call it successful when the male decided it was time to breed and the female wanted nothing of it...unfortunately it costed her life.
I got mine from a local store. I was told by the owner that he only imported blue rams from Europe as the Asian bred rams were too sickly. I definitely paid for that luxury, although they acclimated very well.
I never had any other issues from the male but I was forced to take down the tank so I didn't get much long term experience with them in the water (pH 8.0-8.2 and high TDS). I'd definitely suggest looking into local breeders if you want to try them out. I hadn't even thought of it at the time...they were more of an impulse buy :lipssealedsmilie:
