Sorry if I sound like a broken record but I've spent about $125 on bio-spira trying to cure my tank's biofilter crash without any success. My latest attempt was today. Rather than using Ammo-Lock as my water conditioner I used prime following the dosage instructions (I filled the tank using 3.3 gallon buckets and dosed 0.35 cc's of prime into each bucket using a 1 CC syringe). My ammonia tested at 1 ppm prior to adding the bio-spira and still tests at 1 ppm 4 hours later. The bio-spira was bought cold and according to the shop, they received it from marineland last week packed with dry ice so I doubt that its dead. How long does it take on average for my ammonia to crash should things be working?
