Project Great Wall o' Tanks

Nice plumbing and cable management. My only concern is if a tank above one of the power strips leaks, water may migrate directly into some sockets. Maybe you could space the power strips out 1/2" or so to allow water to pass under.

Must feel nice to have all the tanks in.

Yeah it does feel good to at least have them all in the right places. Good idea about the power strips too, I had though about it but obviously not enough to try and fix it. I can just stick a few shims in behind the strips.

darn sploke! saw you posted, and thought for sure i would see some more pics! ... your not slacking are you;)

Haha no, working. I'd need a long lens to take pictures from my office :p

It's coming out nice sploke. :) I noticed you only had two water pumps in the sump, did you manage to connect all three tanks to it or do you only have two tanks connect to the sump atm? Some update pics would be nice. ;)

Yeah I know, I haven't taken any new pictures because not much has changed lately. The pump for the 150 died last weekend, and almost caused a big problem - it had been working intermittently, and started tripping the GFCI when it flickered...turning EVERYTHING off. Lights, pumps, filters, airstones. JKudging by the light timers, I was without any circulation for almost a 10 hour period.

I did some emergency moving around; took the pump out of the system, took teh canister that was on the 55 and put it on the brackish tank, took the Emperor 400 off the brackish tank and put it on the 150. That got me through the few days until the new Mag 7 arrived from Big Als last night, so all is well now. I'm going to keep the canister on the brackish tank, and eventually upgrade it. The emperor will probably stay on the 150 as well for now, mostly because its out of the way there and I don't have anything else to do with it at the moment.

The biggest hurdle right now is building the frames for the other 150. I got a bunch of 1x2" poplar and I'm rabbeting them to make the frames. It would have been done last weekend but I royally screwed up the bottom one, so I need to pick up a few pieces tonight and hopefully get all that put together this weekend. Once that tank is framed and back in place, I can start the sheetrock regardless of it being filled or not. I'll probably move the Emperor onto that tank until I'm satisfied that the new stock that goes into it is healthy enough to move onto the main sump.

So yes on the main sump right now, the 150, the 55, and the 30 are all running. Eventually the second 150 will go on there as well. The only other thing that's changed is that I built a hinged lid for the turtle tank which is working out way better than that stupid heavy platform I built the first time. I'll try to get some pics tonight.
