I am going crazy i dont know what protein skimmer to get ....:wall: what should i get for a 55 gal? a aquaC remora or a corallife needlewheel?

Tough decision. I only have experience with the Remora and its great, but I have heard good things about the needlewheel as well.
if you want a hang-on, id go for a deltec mce, i only use it a few evenings a week and it does a great job and is VERY quiet.
You shouldn't need a powerhead in the container. Are you thinking to use a powerhead for the return pump? If so it likely won't be strong enough with head loss. Back to the issue of skimmers on a 55g though, take a look at in sump skimmers by Aqua Remora, I'd recommend their Urchin Pro line for your tank.
very pricey but its worth it ... if i have to spend a couple hundred dollars that is gonna work miracles in my tank then im gonna do it lol.... i plan on spending at least a 1000$ on it and i was thinking maybe a ro/di system so i wont have to buy the water because i have a 10 gal tank with gold fish in it also that i have to do water changes on ... plus i have the most horrible tap water there is ... i wont even drink it lol
