I have a 10g and a 30g cycling right now, the 10g has been cycling about a week longer. Should I put the old water from the 10g into the 30g when I do water changes since it will only be a couple of gallons?

Very little of the "good" bactreia lives in the water, so wouldn't help the cycling.

Besides, you'd be moving the ammonia and nitrites from the cycling tank to your new tank.

So even though it would be heavily diluted not a good thing to do?

I wouldn't do it, but lets see what the peanut gallery here has to say....

I agree with aardvark - there would be no benefit in moving the water as that is not where the bacteria live.

What are you using to cycle the tanks? Pure ammonia added?

No.

I agree - don't use the water from one tak to the other. BTW, GO BUCKS!
