Question on Cycling.

What type of gouramis, btw? And what type of crays?

But yeah, just a tiny bit, like two or three drops.

Yes. You would have a spike. I was considering if it would be more diluted with 4 fish in there, but I would suggest not moving with that stock.

Reg crays will eat your fish, and dwarf gouramis will prob not live through this. Cories are ammonia sensitive and otos are known to be fickle. Invertebrates are nitrite and ammonia sensitive.

We'll see, you're doing the best you can! And no deaths so far.

they are just normal crays i think. nothing special. ill post some pics. its funny cuz another site had dwarf gouramis and corys as real good hearty fish to "cycle" a tank with. so far the crays dont bother the fish...and its funny cuz one cory cleans off one of them and the ghost shrimp clean off another one. lol

lol. I would make a post here on crays and suitable fish to keep with them, or search the site just to be careful. If there is general aggression, it can take up to 2 weeks to tell, and sometimes a certain animal will randomly decide that it doesn't want tankmates anymore.
Keep up the good work! Goodnight!

ok just tested the water. its at 1.0ppm still. glad it didnt sky rocket to 2.0 again. but what do you suggest that i do tonight about it?

Use the gravel vac as a siphon only today and leave the fish in the tank. They are much happier staying in the tank when you do a water change. Be sure to add in your dechlorinator and it won't take that long. When you pour in the new water add it slowly and try to pour it over a decoration to break up the current.

If you going to go through the fishy cycle, you'll just have to get used to doing water changes. You probably have another 3-4 weeks of pretty close to daily changes.
