Questions about Nano Tank Setup

is there a particular reason? even if it were only a 2 inch? perhaps just one of [THESE]?

What about a 2-4 inch sea urchin?

Is there a reason you believe it would starve?

I was also looking at orange turbo snails, sexy shrimp and the blue leg dwarf hermit crab. do you think 1 crab, 1-2 snails and 2-3 shrimp maybe would be ok?

Its a personal preference, i believe that nems should be in bigger tanks..The condy in that link grows a lot bigger than 2 - 4 inches, more like about 7 - 8 inches and they pack a very big sting aswell to anything that comes in its way when moving..

I have looked into buying ro water but over time, the cost wouldn't be worth it. it would be easier just to have my own supply.

could you explain the "spot feeding".

I am willing to work harder to keep my system healthy. I understand it might not be easy but depending on the needs. It might be worth it for me.

I did look at the rock anemone. Didn't really care for it. I want colorful.

Spot feeding is a method by you feeding a fish, coral or invert manualy by physically giving the food via feeding tongs or a turkey baster rather than just adding the food to the tank and using the circulation to move to the food around with a hope that all gets fed..

ok.. maybe a stupid question since it doesn't really provide more room.. but what about a 20 tall? I just don't have any room for anything that will take up alot of space. I could manage a 20 tall though if that meant I could keep what I wanted.

I really like [THIS] and it says it only grows 2-4 inches but atnixon said it grew to 7-8. I would like something similar to that. I really just want something colorful. that is why I don't like the rock anemone. It is just too "blah" for me.

If you want something colorful that looks like an anemone then I might suggest a hairy mushroom. They don't need as much light as anemone and you don't have to target feed. I have seen some great green/purple ones. Even though I have one pretty dull in coloration it often gets mistaken for a anemone. My clown also hosts in them.

this is what dr foster and smith sais about hairy mushrooms

It is somewhat aggressive, however, and can harm sessile invertebrates and overgrow other inhabitants of the reef.

I really want to stick with peacefull inhabitants
