quick help!

I agree if you want black skirts they should be in a group (I would think more than four), and that will limit other type of fish you can have. If you really want a gourami maybe you should think about have some bottom feeders. A schools of cory cat for example. This I why I suggest you pick one fish that you really want, that way you can pick your other fish around that. Right now I'm just not sure what your top pick is.

Don't worry though you still have lots of options.

first i wanna thank everyone for hanging on here with me, i know i cna be anooying, so yeah my heart was set on a gourami because i wanted something different yet inexpensive, i like the black skirt tetras too and also i like these cool mollies i saw at the store, if someone could tell me the name i'de love you forever, they like yellowish gold with a yellowish orange tail with two stripes on the tail parallel to each other. soo....i was thinkin about a cory cat . the deal is i want a color not so usal ho hum yet inexpensive tank stock. how about two mollies male and female, one gourami, one cory cat, black skirt tetra #? , and.....feel free to add or adjust this list to hel pme out. :fairy:

um ok how about my new list. i went to the store today and saw some cute stuff, how about one gourami, 2 marble pollies and two mollies that are yellow but dont know the name, and can i fit like 3 danios or like a bottom feeder? what another cute fish that will mix well with a gourami and mollies. i ruled out the black skirt tetras, my husband said they were freaky looking  i thought they were cute. so i also liked these sunset somethings, platy maybe? so help out with the new list. let me know if i can add more to it.

Sounds like the gourami and mollies would fill it well. You could get a few cory cats, a small species, maybe. They really like larger schools, but I have 8 in a 120 and they never really school together. I would say you have the tank full except for 2-3 bottom feeders that would not grow too big (which rules out the common pleco or loaches, even though every LFS sells them like crazy).

ok so final list two marble mollies, two gold dust mollies, one small bottom feeder....can i add anything else? i really like thesetwin bar platy i saw. or maybe some sort of small school fish?

Scooling fish wouldnt be a good idea unless they are the only species you have in the tank, since they like large groups of at least 6. So you could do a schooling species with the Gourami and be okay. If you get a cory cat as your bottom feeder, please get more than one, you could do up t 3 if you get a small species of cory cat. You can do research (even on here) on bottom feeders and see the sizes and whether or not they are solitary. And as far as the mollies, just remmeber they are livebearers so eventually you will have babies. I wouldnt get more than the 4 if you are getting males and females because soon you will have babies and then what are you gonna do with them? If you get all males or females, getting the platys wouldnt be bad, you could do that.
