Should my topoff water be the same ph as the tank? I'm using ro/di water. don't know the ph but its gatta be lower than the tank water ph. should I raise it with a ph buffer or is it ok if lower? thanx
I have changed how I am storing my RO/DI water.. I have bought a lot of aragonite sand and keep it in my bucket. It naturally raises the acidic RO/DI water to a more alkaline level. The only problem is going to be that my aragonite sand will slowly disappear and I'll have to replace it.
I just keep my RO water in a big 5 gallon Culligan bottle.
where do you get your RO water?
about to cross over and start a SW tank :silly:

check them out. I upgraded the chloramine filter as I have city water but I heard if you have well water you don't have to. Call them ask all the questions you want. They'll be happy to help. Tho you could prob get it from your LFS also, my LFS sells it for 59 cents a gallon.
