Cairo, IL....we pass through there every year we go to back to Tennessee....The town before (just north of it) looks nice and has great diners where common meals are beans and rice, chicken and mashed potatos....but Cairo has common dinners as frog legs, turtle soup and some other ones....that is definetly the border town, everything changes when you hit Cairo.

I think the reversal starts somewhere between the panhandle & the isthmus, probably just to the north of Joe's house ;)
 
We just got three inches of "needed" rain this afternoon! Glad no lightning strikes took out any electronics here...

I was able to put down Ironite on the backyard right before the storm. Anyone else use that stuff?

I have relatives in a town just southeast of St Louis..and it's there, let me tell you!! I'm glad my parents moved when I was little. not sure why I hesitate to name the town...I doubt anyone there has fish or computers :D
