rams in a 10g

That's a rare find. Normally you won't see them for sale.

I'd say one pair, a male and a female. Buy four so they can pair off, then return which ever pair you like the best.

well they only had 2 but by the time i go they will probably have more because the last couple times they have had them. what plants will go with them and what tank mates

Plants are plants as far as rams are concerned. Unless you get a crazy one that decides it hates all things green and leafy.

A 10gal is too small for a pair of bolivans. Min would be a 20gal long. They really aren't rare, you just need to ask the LFS owners to order them since they don't usually sell very well.

well what fish do go well with them and by the way i have talked about rams before and everyone told me i could go 2 in a 10 gallon but never told me what fish could go with them

Because nothing else would fit. 10gal is too small for them, but it can work if they are the sole inhabitants.

I might be wrong, but I thought you were referring to blue rams before, which are a bit smaller than bolivian rams. I had three blue rams in a 20g long for awhile, but ended up putting them all in my 55g because of how much space they need (territories)

edit- I see what you are talking about now,

A pair of german rams will do nicely with 3 or 4 cory cats.

german rams are blue rams, or german blue rams. They are called german because where they were bred. Bolivian rams are a different breed of ram
