Rams in an 8 Biocube

What do you think about having some Gold German Rams in an 8 gallon Biocube?
2-3 (1M, 1-2F) Max

State your reasoning behind what you say
 
i concur with that jm and granny i kept a male gbr in a 10 without a problem! though he was all alone except for some shrimp
 
Completely agree with all the above. Rams are way too active for that small a tank.
 
I agree with the rest on this one 100%. Rams are beautiful when they glide through a well planted aquarium but they really need a lot more room then an 8 gallon can offer.

See I would have thought that too but I have a friend that has had this set up for over a year and all three are/appear to be happy. They are always swimming around and coming up to the glass to say hello. How could it work so well?

an oscar in a 29 is also happy for the first year...

it also depends on what they are kept with.
