In between all the bad news on TV and radio, in between the things that go wrong with our fish tanks and in between the things that make our days a little more difficult than they otherwise could be, there are "Rays of Sunshine" that make a lot of these downers seem less prominent.
I want to start this thread as a means of finding and sharing these "Rays of Sunshine" that made you happy recently.

Please keep it all positive and don't post any negative or snide remarks. As the saying goes... if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything.

To kick it off I'll start with this.

Three people I know got new jobs recently.
Last night my 4yr old and I were playing in the basement. He saw the turkey feathers I found in the woods a few years ago and asked me if he could play with them. I gave him one and took the other and a tickle chase started with the two of us running around the couch. As we ran around we were stepping on a whoopie cushion which put our laughter over the top.

My sister and her family went on a well deserved trip to Cuba on Friday, and I'm very happy for them. They'll be amazed at the sea life they'll see.

Every day is a ray of sunshine for me.. Ive been raising my grand kids and my 14 year old and every day I'm blessed by them. With God all things are possible!!

My dog helps :p:

some snails that just showed up in a saltwater tank of mine bred, it just put a smile on my face even though its such a small happening

My sisters cat woke me up in the middle of the night and demanded to be petted. Some would be annoyed but this cat is huge and fluffy and never wants to be petted. I was kinda honored lol :)

Background: I live in a 3rd story apartment with a balcony, so my cats (Kiba and Sasuke) have no outdoor experience other than messing with my balcony plants. Mom sent us a bird feeder for Christmas, which is hanging off the roof, and the cats love to sit at the glass door and "chirp" at the birds (only 3-4 ft away!) while they're feeding.

Today, I was watching the cats get all riled up over the birds being so close, and Kiba couldn't take it anymore and ran face first into the glass. Hard. It made me laugh :D.

My pets are a constant source of entertainment, love, and sunshine in my life.
