Reef log/Diary

Well it's now been two months and so far everything has been going "swimmingly""! Everything is doing really well, corals growing and fish are getting fat! Here's a few piccies for you all to look at.

Enjoy

The next one is of "Paisley" my Green Spotted Mandarin. I've had him for a while now but trying to get a photo of him has been very hard. I swapped my coral frags for Paisley and the anemone below!!!!

Cheers Grins. Trying to do a head count in the morning is quite trying when it comes to the Chromis. Funny how they never sit still!!!

Super glue them to the glass...sooooo much easier to count them when needed...

Seriously though, tank is looking superb Ali...really well done for turning this into a great reef system...Love the madndarin by the way...looks fab !!!!

Looking really good CPD.. Are you sure that mandarin can even swim?? He looks so full, almost like a lead weight... LOL ;)

He has a taste for flatworms which is one reason why I got him as I've had an outbreak of them. Since setting the tank up I've been adding pods every month to the sump and main tank, plus the majority of 85% of my rock is 3 years old so he's got plenty to gorge himself on. I was originally planning on waiting a little longer before adding him but the flatworm issue changed that!!!:grinyes:

Mmmmm you don't mind if I don't take your advice on that one!!!

Thanks for the compliments though :grinyes:

Well I've added a few new additions over the last week or so and thought I'd share the piccies.

These are some Zoas that I got from a certain auction website. I'm just going to sit back and watch them all grow and have a massive Zoanthid rock.

Dueto the fact we think I may have had high Phosphate levels before someone told me about Phosphates, general consensus seems to be that the phosphates have soaked into my rock and now leaching out slowly hence my algae problem. The interesting thing is that it only seems to be really dense on my old rock and not on any of my new rock. "Pinkie" my collector urchin is now sorting this!!!

My new feather duster. I just wanted one more which was slightly unusual in colour to add to my other two!

I've always wanted some clove polyps to add to my collection and now I have some!!
