Ask terminix how they intend to spray. I just had my house sprayed for ants, and no harm done to the tanks at all. They didnt fog, only sprayed. I do reccomend getting your house treated, fleas and there larvae are really tricky.
For the dog, go to your vet and get a capstar, should be around 5 or so bux for the pill, it will kill all the fleas on your dog, and continue to kill for 24 hours after you administer it.
Continue with the advantix you are using, it will take a while before the fleas that get on your dog are killed, It doesnt prevent them from getting on your dog so much as it kills them when they do, and BTW, the flea doesnt have to bite the dog for this to work, that would be the capstar, and some other drugs such as interceptor (sentinel) and that just sterilizes the flea doesnt kill it.
It can take around 2 months using advantix alone to clear up an infestation.
Be sure if you are vaccuming your carpets you are getting rid of the vacum bag everytime, do some research as well on the life cycle of a flea.
Also, an all natural method to help get rid of fleas. Take a pan, one that is about 2 inches deep, put water and dish detergent in it, sit it on the floor under a light such as a night light. At night the fleas are attracted to this and when they jump to get to the light, they fall in the pan of water and drown. The detergent in the water breaks the surface tension so the flea sinks. Try this in the areas of your home youre having the most trouble with.
