Rescued a betta from Wal-Mart - do you think he'll make it?

I bow down to you. I truely do and admire you dedication. I also feel sad about it but we all know who to blame *cough* wall mart *cough* is there a rspca (royal society of the prevention of cruelty of animals) or equivalent in america? if there was, write them a letter with photos of wall marts shocking care of aquatic life.

jennfier although theres asda in england they dont have aquatic sections or any other pet sections. Maybe the odd cat basket or dog blanket but no aquatics.

We have the ASPCA I believe but they don't do nearly as much as the RSPCA does back in Oz.

How to help...

First of all, you did a great thing for your betta and you should be proud of yourself. I am very sorry to hear that he didn't make it....

In terms of helping, Sully posted a great thread a while back about how he is making a difference. There has been alot of support for his letter (quite a work of art) that he sends to companies that are violating the rights of aquatic animals and supporting irresponsible fish practices. It may be on the first few page of the Gen Freshwater forum, but if not search for "I need help, really lots of it," or check out his member page and find the post.

If we all band together, we can at least make our collective voices heard.
