Rescued a betta from Wal-Mart - do you think he'll make it?

im so sorry! :(
I know how you feel,I did the same thing for a betta covered in fungus,I knew he was going to die but he died in clean water away from people picking up his cup and tapping it to see him move

Echo you did what you could though, and yea at least he died in a peaceful place instead of swimming in his own filth.

I hate Wal-Mart for selling fish, and being so careless. We should start a petition.

echoofformless, you are right, he died in dignity. You did a good thing. I'm just sorry the little guy didn't make it.

We in england dont have wall marts but can it really be that bad?
dwarfgourami7, ASDA is owned by Wal-mart. Google Wal-mart UK. Wal-mart is everwhere.

Echo, sorry he didn't make it. You did your best. At least he breathed clean water at the end. *Pat your back*

Well, he's gone now. Maybe around 10pm or so. Poor little guy.

But at least he died in dignity, under the care of a dedicated aquarist, in clean water. Somehow I still feel good about it, even though I couldn't save him physically.

Aw Echo, I'm sorry! :( You did everything you could, and SHOULD feel good about that! You should take him in to Wal Mart and return him, using their oh-so-wonderful 1 day guarantee for another betta that needs your help! Maybe there is another you CAN save. Take care - and good luck!

I bow down to you. I truely do and admire you dedication. I also feel sad about it but we all know who to blame *cough* wall mart *cough* is there a rspca (royal society of the prevention of cruelty of animals) or equivalent in america? if there was, write them a letter with photos of wall marts shocking care of aquatic life.

jennfier although theres asda in england they dont have aquatic sections or any other pet sections. Maybe the odd cat basket or dog blanket but no aquatics.

I'm glad you took care of him while you could. Nothing deserves to live like the betas do at wal-mart.
