Rhinogobius zhoui

Thanks, you two! Pony, maybe you and I can convince Msj over here to find some to bring in. Whaddaya say?

I love gobies!

Pony, they top out around 3.5" - 4" but generally stay a bit smaller. I don't anticipate you'd need more than 10 to 20 gallons to happily house a pair. Don't require a heater, and do appreciate high O2 levels as well.

So it's been about a week since the female slimmed considerably, and the male is still nowhere to be found. Either he's dead and caught in a rock somewhere, or he's sitting on a batch of eggs. They say the incubation period for r. wui is about 11 to 14 days, so I hopefully will know sooner or later one way or the other. There seems to be a very large depression behind the big pink rock, so hopefully he's still down there guarding eggs. Very reticient to pull the eggs this time, so I'm praying that they will complete the process on their own. Aside from 3 amano shrimp and some pest snails, there are no other inhabitants. We shall see if I end up finding some little gobies next week.
