RO/DI water storage question.

As they are specifically designed to store "drinking" water, yes, i would say they are safe containers to use.
I finally got off my arse and bought the whirlpool 3 stage RO unit ...sick of going to the local "water to go" .
Now my only thing to do is get rid of that saddlevalve and get a adapter for the sink....
I was going to store my water in my old travel containers for water 5g x4...and set them in a dark room vs outside garage so the temp stays near room temp to.
Is there anything I need to know when storing these?

well for a 300g tank I'd like to more water on hand than 55 gals.
toejam the only thing i'd be worried about is lack of movement in the water. I read somewhere...cant remember where atm, that you should keep the water moving a bit to keep it from going stagnant. I planned on mounting a small water pump on a timer in the big one just to keep it stired up.

No issues with the tank. You will have to adapt heating in to the tank as well as insulating around it though. I'm not sure what your area temps are like, but if they fluctuate you're going to have to heat that tank and insulate it to keep that heat in. I use foam insulation and a water tub heater rated for farm use. Works great!
how many water changes are you planning on doing?
I store only RO in that can, and mix the RO with tap to get the right balance... I can replace 75% of the water in my 125 with that can, and tap water.. daily..
My RO is rated 100 GPD, and I have a 100 PSI booster pump at the membrane.. it will fill my can overnight. I was considering adding another can for more water storage .
OK so it needs to have some flow in storage... Is holding it in storage for lets say 6 days without flow ok...or does it become stagnant sooner?
I dont plan on having that much on hand..I just like to have water ready for next change a week later..vs scrambling last minute to get water ready. I dont need to store additional 15g I just wondered if I could for long periods and what things I need to worry for..
it seems its more of a chore then to store too much...when I only need 5g for next change and 5g on hand for top off...but top off is always being dumped and refilled so there is the flow =).
