Rock... or rap...? Battle!!!

Most people... either like rock or rap, and often don't like the other... so two choices....

rock includes grunge, any kind of metal, alternative, punk, etc etc... and rock-ish pop, country, etc...

rap will include hip hop, r&b, plain rap, any kind of rap, hip-hoppish pop.

i know, hardcore rap might not be like some hip-hoppish pop, but i'll put it in that category...

They both came from Jazz and the Blues but Rock stayed closer to the roots. Plus look at my username... duh.

I listen to mostly punk, heavy metal, alternative, grunge, etc. in particular... I hate most rap stuff (except most rapcore bands, like LP). What really bothers me is the rappers who sing about taking "hot" girls from the bar and then drugging them up and getting them pregnant.

On rap I agree with Jim Carrey "I like rap music as much as the next frightened Caucasian"

Hmmm, I can't answer this one...cause well really it depends on my mood sometimes I'm in a rock mood, and sometimes I'm in a R & B mood, sometimes more of a country mood even. I listen to everything and really do not have a preference to one more then the other.

I agree with you, my mood really chooses what kind of music I like, so I say both.
