Salt mix

Now I know this has HAD to have been posted before but what type of salt mixes are the best or what does everyone use?

I use Crytals reef salt. dissolves really fast. supposed to be salt nitrate and phosphate free, that's what it says on the bag anyways. hahaha

but, yes it dissolves fast.

i like instant ocean.....baltimore aquarium and many many other large aquarium places like it use it....so why not go with what places like that are using...its cheap....and it seems to work just fine...it does take a minute to dissolve but who cares u can use that minute to prepare other things

I have been using RedSea. Seems to work good, but then again I'm not a salt mix pro!

I use Tropic Marin Pro has the right trace elements and that is what my salt water store uses.

I use reef crystals. It contains zero phosphates, zero nitrAtes etc and I haven't had to use any PH buffer since I started using it.

I really think all of the major brands are close to the same quality; just be sure to use a "reef" salt if yiu're going to do a reef tank---more trace elements (I assume).

I do Red Sea salt...it's an Israeli brand that actually gets the salt out of the Red Sea...and the red sea reefs are awesome...
