salty420's 75g reef log

Loving the new fish salty... Very nice specimens. How are they interacting with your other fish or are they playing the "I'm scared" game?

everyone is getting along great. my RG had major attitude with the fairy wrasse at first, took a big chunk out of it's tail and chased it all around the first day or so. i expected that tho. i think the RG is intimidated by the angels tho, it'll display and show it's big giant mouth off to them but that's about it. the clowns are way to obsessed with their anemone to care about the new fish until they get too close to said nem. then they have to go crazy chasing them off. i haven't seen my neon goby cleaning any of the newbies yet, he hides in his hole when they get too close. and of course my pj cardinal is such an airhead i swear she doesn't even notice anything is different. she's the only fish that has seemed totally unaffected by the upgrade and new fish being added. the fairy wrasse has taken a liking to her and spends some time hanging out by her when it's not swimming around. there is a lot of activity in the tank now which is very nice :)

so i got a new camera (YAY!) so of course that means new pics!

torch coral..? you mean my other nem? lol i saw in your post in the showstopper thread how ppl call everything in your tank an anemone - everyone who sees my tank thinks the torch is a nem of course :) that "tentacle" is super long as it met the koralia 4 the other day... had a few torch coral pieces flying around the tank and i was freaking out! i was glad that i have carbon in the sump and hit the tank with a net to collect all the pieces that i could... i was afraid that my rbta would have another sting on it but nothing seems damaged from the ordeal... the K4 was relocated tho no worries :) oh and yes i LOVE the lights! the LED's are AWESOME at night, and the timers for the lights are so great!
