"Santa" brought me a digital camera for christmas. Figured I'd share pics of my 55 gallon. Mind you I am NO profesional at snapping off pics. And at shooting crystal clear pics...

But I think they turned out ok. I did 2 with the flash off and 1 with it on. The one with it on doesn't look to terribly bad.

Have a looksee.....

My crypts have fulled out like mad. And my sword plant are all its own new leaves about a month old. I pulled the older green house grown growth about 3 weeks ago. Now they are all its own growth.

It still needs some cutting back, actually all of them need a hair cut. I just hate trimming them. Because I am scared I am going to change something like stunt or shock the plant? WHo knows,.. I am crazy...

Thanks for your input.

OH yeah, don't mind the Co2 bottles. I don't if you don't! LOL...

Very nice indeed =)

Just a question... I can't quite tell what kind of plant you have there via the picture.. can you tell me what plant(s) you have floating in your tank?

Thanks guys.

Richer, Yeah its Riccia, Duckweed and Salvinia. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of it while I was at his house about a month and a half ago. Believe it or not the stuff went from about 3x3 square inch to my half of the tank in that time!!!! The stuff grew like mad... Only wish I would have separated it when I got it. Now I have all three mixed up! OH well...

Thanks for the coments... I need to read up on how to take better picures though. The camera is a Sony Cybershot 2.0 MP.... So I think it can do better? I am just not experienced enought to do it! LOL..

Any rate. Thanks and have a great holiday, whats left of it anyway...

HA a bad girl...

Tempest.

Ah don't say that... I am sure you were a good girl this year. Maybee he dropped your camera off here by mistake:eek: . I'll trade you for a CO2 system...:D HA HA HA.... I am praying that in January for my birthday the wife will let me spring for a Co2 system. I talked it over with her about a month ago and she was game, but lately , ah she hasn't said much...

Its a shame the systems' are so much cash.... I can see getting away with $50 -$75 on a budget but $150 to $170 isn't gonna happen. Not on my budget. At least not next month...

Maybee I can sell my tank to get a Co2 System, HA....

You could always slowly build up your CO2 system. ie. For now, just buy the regulator, later on buy the needle valve, a bit later your CO2 tank, etc. You may not have a working CO2 system from the get-go, but at least you'll be working towards one.

Spankey - nice pics. Do you have a blue background or none? I'd go with black - just my opinion.

If you go with what Richer says you can rent a tank for $4-6/month until you can buy it, the rest of the stuff should fit into your budget.
