I just returned my red serpae tetras as they nipped at my angel far too much. They were VERY colorful though... I need recommendations? I want something that schools but are peaceful and hopefully my angel won't devour.

I currently have in my 29g
1 koi angel
6 pepperer cories.

I like my Black Phantom Tetras, they have a nice blue splotch of color on and the females have a bit of red on them too. They hang out together, are very sweet, and don't hurt a thing. They are not the best at schooling and do split up especially if there is food around. But are a really great fish.

You could try Cardinal Tetras if you're looking for some really bright color. Hope this helps.

My white clouds are really colourful, school very well, and are georgous when they flare their fins. They also eat very well.

Cardinal tetras? They're just that little bit bigger than neons, so should avoid being eaten. Glowlight tetras are nice too.

I like cherry barbs...they aren't tight schoolers but are very engaged with each other and seem to stick together in my tank. I also have cardinals and neons and am pleased with both.

My Colombian Tetras stay together. You can't see the blue on their dorsal fin very well in photos.

I would agree with the cardinal tetras. They are a lot of fun and have wonderful color. Black neon's are pretty cool too, but not as colorful.

I would say rainbow fish (praecox), but mine have been nippy at times, and wouldn't suggest you go out and get them, since you have already had trouble.

I saw the colombians at the LFS but they were a tad nippy as I was told. I'm going to try for cardinals and see where I get. I can probably get a bunch of them.
