He can't... he's still trying to learn that lesson too.

pure genius! i have no idea how i've survived all this time without you.
can i call you dad?
The tea tree oil is in most "natural" baby wipes, yes and MANY natural products because it is a wonderful thing (unless of course you have a reaction to itLG...
lol, it's not always that deep. i've always thought it sounded downright geeky and nasal on phone recordings.
i'm going to have to agree about the hidden chemicals. my first two weren't exactly "sensitive" that i knew of, but i have to say this guy going from his skin wiping right off to never having a diaper rash speaks volumes. with my daughter, if her diaper wasn't changed immediately she'd be raw in no time and we'd be fighting to straighten it out. embarrassing to say the least should someone witness a diaper changing. i felt like a neglectful parent perpetually. god forbid we didn't dry her bottom before putting a diaper on. what a mess! with this guy now, if the wipes are too wet, no worries... the diaper will soak it up... and we've had no need for diaper rash cream, baby powder or anything... at all! what a god sent!!!
another thing i considered was cloth diapers and wipes. i looked at that all throughout searching for the "dry wipes". there were a few downsides that turned me away, though...
1) tea tree oil - i react very negatively to this and it seems to be in everyone's recipe for cloth wipes.
2) mineral oil - also in everyone's recipes - although it's edible, i see no reason why oil should always be wiped on a babys bottom... the idea of a wipe is to get them cleaned, not oiled up, IMO
3) carrying a spray or squirt bottle everywhere to wet your wipes - seems counter productive in some situations.
4) carrying a cloth covered in baby droppings everywhere until we get home isn't appealing by any means
5) if i were to pre-moisten cloth wipes i might have to re-make them twice a day to keep up with demand - screw that, lol
6) i'm really not interested in doing the extra laundry associated with "the cloth". not sure once that's all said and done that there's much savings monetarily or environmentally, either.
7) i think there's maybe something i'm forgetting...
i have come across a couple of those brands IIRC, but i'm very leery of products that use "natural ingredients" until i know what it is that's the difference. i'm reminded of "free range" cattle for example. what is it that makes it "natural ingredients"? i know i pay more for them, but am i getting more/safer from them? it's not always the case and we needed something better than cotton balls desperately by the time i found the right disposable washcloths. i'm glad you posted about them here, though in case someone happens across this in the future. i've noticed you're pretty aware when it comes to the safety of products, so i really appreciate your input.
Mad...
will do sir, will do. you can bank on it.
