Serious Critics Needed Please (Photo)

misopenut: Thanks for the comments! Yes the moss do grow well in this tank perhaps is the low light? Actually Luwigia was at the back of the crypt sometime ago but moved to where it is now! lol!

Marala: Thanks! This tank is 18G (60L) with only 22W lighting and DIY c02. pH is around 6.8, KH5 and GH16. Eco-complete substrate.

for some reason im not too good with moss. maybe too much nutrients in the water i dont know.. right now im not doing co2 so fightin algae..

I like this set up, a bit more spread out. The trick now is figuring out how to get the snail to stay on that leaf.
I had to rearrange my plants yesterday as well. It can be a pretty frustrating thing, especially when you accidently uproot one everytime you plant another. It's a vicious cycle for me.

Nice work.

That Indian Almond Leaf is a 'dinner plate' for all fish and inverts in my tank! It is a great place to place fish pellets as this will prevent pellets/fragments from dropping in between the substrate and left uneaten.

I understand your concern about re-scaping the tank. Fortunately, Eco-complete is quite light and I can just push and move (short distance) the whole root system rather than uproot and replant. That was how I moved the lotus to the back! lol!

Just trimmed the lotus leaves and also did some very slight rearrangements:

when aquascapeing i usually use what i learned in my art classes, a centerpiece that is smack in the middle is less interesting than one that is off center, also splitting the display into thirds (remembering to not to bring the focus to the center) makes an interesting display... id get a statue, piece of driftwood, or nice rock and put it where the leaf is now, that would add a nice focal point to your tank.

I woudl move the wisteria along the very back as it will grow all the way to the top of the tank, As well as the Red Ludwig,

Keep The crypts up front, and the driftwood off to the left to seperate the stem plants from taking over the others.

I would probably ditch the moss on the left hand side in favor the the moss on the right. (Put it in your other tank)

I would move any smaller plants you don't want to concentate on to the other new tank as well.

Then your tank would look similar to my 20 gallon lol (guess I'm biased) :)

What is that ground cover your using on the left i need something like that for mine.

I was using 24 watts on my 20 gallon for a while as well, but when I put the new Coralife 64 watt light on there! Watch out stuff grows very fast :) Good buy for $55 at foster and smith.
