Setting up a Lake Malawi Tank

Thanks everyone!!!!

Dog I plan to add...

Iodotropehues sperengae - 1 male 3 female
Cynotilapia afra - 1 male 2 female
Pseudotropheus socolofi albino - 1 male 2 female
Pseudotrophues acei - 1 male 2 female.
With possibly a couple more females to a couple groups of those, or ditch one group and look at 3 or 4 male peacocks. (My hap has taken place of at least one of the peacocks)
Along with:3-4 Synodontis

David the substrate is a mix of pool filter sand and aragronite sand.

Ok...of these, which is the more peaceful? Trying to decide which group I want to go with next....

Iodotropehues sperengae
Cynotilapia afra
Pseudotropheus socolofi albino
Pseudotrophues acei

Or should I maybe go with my Synodontis next?

Í would say that Pseudotropheus socolofi albino is the more peaceful one out of those four.

Awesome Ahli by the way, love the way his colour stands out against those rocks.

Thanks guys!! Then I will go with one of them next. They will have to order them for me, so I will call and find out when they do their ordering and try to get in on the next shipment.

Do you know if it is easy to tell male from female? If I tell them I want 1 male with 2/3 female..will they be able to tell the difference...or will I have to take my chances?

Thats what I though Ibr...gah, I hate chances they rarely turn out well for me LMAO!

Just a quick update, I haven't updated in so long. I had ordered the Albinos, unfortunatley things didn't turn out well for me and I ended up not getting them. On a good note though, I just placed a order for 6 Acei's (hopeing to get at least one male and 3 fm) I will most likely be taking 2 up to my LFS once I figure out whats what with them. I got cofirmation this morning that they were shipped out, so I should be getting them tomorrow or Wednesday!!!!
