Setting up African Cichlid Tank

In general yes. Most afrcians cichlids are good parents to a certain point.

So when they have fry what do I have to do?

I guess they raise them for a while. You don't strip them do you? Because I've been told that when you strip them they don't learn all the stuff they should know like breeding.

Also, my dolphin/s seem to be digging. But I don't know if they are male or female. So I don't know if they're making a nest or what.

They are trying to spawn but they are too young.

river rock looks great IMHO, and its free.. here's mine, 273lbs of natural river rock. total cost (even with sand substrate) = 7$

Nice tank! hows your luck with the tiger barbs and cichlids? I want to do the same. Any deaths so far?

about fry my experiance with cichlids and there fry is that to just leave them be is almost the best thing you can do . you might also have to seperate the parents from each other and other fish in the tank due to the fact that they may end up killing each other.
