Shame on you all!

Congratulations on the new tank. I'm glad that you were able to upgrade! Five gallons are nice for bettas but not much fun for any other fish.
That tank looks good. It will be so beautiful once your gourami has reached his full size and can be the "centerpiece" for it.

^^Yeah, I can't wait. Any clue how long it'll take for him to reach 6"? Currently he's probably 2.5"

I'm so clueless as what to get next, but I've got a few weeks to set and think about it.

Bravo for upgrading! ( now I don't have to yell at you :p: )

Now for the bad news....keeping multiple gourami's in a tank your size does pose some risks. Mixing dwarfs and regulars IMO increases that risk.

If you want to have more than one gourami you need plants! Tall plants and floating plants to break up the line of sight and minimize any potential aggression. Of course this may/may not mean lighting upgrades.....

Why not leave well enough alone and go for a small midlevel fish and a few corys?
I have to agree with this statement about mixing Gouramis. I wouldn't get any Dwarf Gouramis to mix in with your Blue Gourami.

i musty agree about the gouramis. i would stick with just the one you have. also, be careful with the frog and small fish, they are carnivorous. and please use that 5 gallon to quarantine new fish for a few weeks before adding them to the main tank.
