shelf life of brine shrimp eggs?

Build a hatchery? Geez Louise, I always used the good old inverted 2-liter soda bottle set inside the bottom of a second 2-liter for support. An airline to circulate the soup, and track down a flashlight and coffee filter for collecting the hatch.

Here's the start of the project!

my basic setup. Not too large, but this is more for fun than being useful.:)

The shrimps have been added! THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!

i know im an invertaholic but i don't think i want actual shrimp running through my veins.

They're more than twice my age! But, from what I understand, the longer they age, the more the hatch rate drops. Never heard of 43 year old eggs being tested, but, who knows, you may get something.

I guess you are not heating the water - the instructions on the egg I bought say it should be 27 - 30* C.
Do others normally use a heater for hatching?

(Love the dog :D)
