Shipping clutches

You can sell/ship snails in the State you live in. To ship nationally or internationally requires a license. Research it if you want, but be cautious. Some places have strict laws regarding the importation or exportation of non-native species (Hawaii specifically).

You DO need permits to ship clutches. When you apply for the permits, you have to specify which life stages you will be selling the snails (eggs, juvenile, adult, etc). Its seems there are lots of *illegal* sales of brigs, clutches, and spixis available.

Shipping clutches is illegal. I have permits for every state including Hawaii. I wanted to ship clutches but was denied. The reason is the clutches are too similar to the giant apple snail clutches (Canas) which are plant eating machines. It's really the Canas they're worried about getting out and spreading...or at least they want to slow the spread as much as possible. So it's not the P.bridgesii snails themselves that are the problem...it's the resemblance to P.canaliculata ("Canas") that is the problem :)
It's fairly easy (although a little tedious) to get permits to ship the snails.

I guys.... i live in Portugal Europe and i need licenses to buy that stuff.... but...

I bought a last year some fish in aquabid, and when i asked the vendor about license he said i should not worry they had everything covered.. offcourse my vendor was from Singapore and the fish were shipped by mail under terrible condition and stuffed in the mail box like normal letters, they arrived in terrible conditions an i will never buy anything more in Aquabid

My 2 cents

I wouldn't judge all of aquabid on one seller.

Wait a minute...msjinkzd has permits to ship clutches!!! So, 1) I was wrong and 2) I need to amend my permits or re-apply! :wall: Thanks for the heads up msjinkzd!!!!!
