should i qt?

The tang doesnt eat nearly that much nori.... i guess i didnt know that they should be fed that much... i usually rip about a 1-2" piece off the nori sheet and throw that in there. Usually twice a day, and she picks on the meaty stuff as well. Maybe i should up the nori feeding =).

yeah our male has a slight issue too, but i dont think its like the one you seem to be referring too.

He has an eye condition, and the exact name escapes me... but basically one pupil is bigger than the other and sometimes his eye turns very red. The vet said there is a good chance he could grow out of it though.

That picture was actually taken about a week after we had our female spayed. We tried to breed her 3 times unsuccessfully before calling it quits and getting her fixed. She has a great temper, and has many show dogs in her pedigree. (although she doesnt quite resemble one) Believe it or not, her coat has been getting remarkably better since we spayed her, and she seems a lot perkier too. We think she might of had some hormone issues that didnt meet the eye.

I use the clip so he can feed on it as he wants. Since getting the lawnmower I notice he'll sometimes use it as well. As long as your tang doesn't look like she is underweight and she is behaving normally I'd not worry too much, but I would get a clip.

On the goldens, you have the english variety, as I do as well. My parents have a pair of the field goldens as the american ones are often called. They are redder and larger in size. The english ones tend to have blockier heads, the paler golden color and shorter (actually show standard). My breeder is good about not wanting to pass on any possible flaws and Cody could not show because one of his man parts had not dropped. I gave him the nickname Uniball for a bit. We thought it might eventually drop but when it didn't seem it would I made the decision to neuter him. He just turned 3 on the 15th and he has shown no signs of leaving his puppy lifestyle behind. He is a typical golden goofball.

Do your golden enjoy the tank as much as mine do? Mine are most fascinated by the lawnmower blenny and sandsifting goby. The female likes the clowns but they pretty much ignore Butters.

heh.... sorry bout the male, but at least you got a good pet out of the deal.

Mine dont really seem to pay any attention to the tank to be honest. My male is a typical golden goof ball too, but female is very well tempered as i said before. Only time she ever barks is when we tell her too or she gets very very frightened. We are thinking about making her a therapy dog for the elderly. She has the "love to be patted" attitude. You know the type of golden that will put its head on your lap and have you pat her... then when you stop dig her nose under your hand and flip it back on top of you.

As to the english goldens, thats the look we really like more... like you said the "big block head". Our friend used to breed the field goldens, and actually still has a few... but they are getting old... i think they are 9 or 10 now. They used to be search and rescue dogs. They were pretty darn good at it back in the day too.. pretty amazing really.

As for that whole fish thing that we were supposed to talk about (pshhh fish are boring....) I have a clip, 2 actually... i just have a bad habbit of not keeping them supplied. Maybe i should work on it =).

Ha my yellow lab LOVES to sit and watch my 55 gallon cichlid tank for hours without moving. I dont know why but he loves it. Well actually I can relate with him because I find myself watching it for hours on end too lol.

The fish are on there way to me now =)

Ok, im setting it up now. Its a 20g tank... unfortunately i couldn't find one of the long versions, so i settled for a high... not ideal but better than the alternative i guess.

Right now it has roughly 8 gallons of RO/DI water in it with another 5 or so on the way soon. Should i stay with strict RO/DI or is it OK to use a little bit of tap so i have more time to mix the salt before the fish arrives?

I also grabbed a heater for it, and i have a powerhead and HOB powerfilter to use.

Turns out the plane had a mechanical problem and the fish will be here tomorrow... hopefully in ok shape but who knows.

fish are being drip acclimated as we speak, i lost one clown however... DOA.

Fedex had a delay and it probably cost him as he was in the bag for 18 hours longer than he needed to be if there was no delay.

Rip.

yeah, i did. Full refund on fish price and half refund on shipping.

PBT looks amazing believe it or not.. i'll get some pics a little later.
