Shrimp euthanasia

Thanks guys!!!! I'm just so excited!!!! I can't believe it!!! He has been looking so bad the last couple of days and not eating no matter how hard I worked to get the food to his mouth.

He ate those FBWs so heartily on Saturday night and I felt so exuberant to see him suck them up, lol. He wouldn't even suck up any FBWs the last three days. My optimism was beginning to wane.

The last few days, when I would look in the tank and see him just lying on his side; this was so discouraging, but then, at times, I would see that he had righted himself and was sitting on those little stubby nubs of his, and this display of courage and resolve helped keep me from giving up on him.

Why is it that emoticons can better express something that the written language?? LOL. Great to hear that, Mel!!

Ok... what kind of setup do I need for this guy? I have a 20 gallon regular that I want to use. I have some African root wood, lots of Texas holey rock pieces. I will get plants for low lighting from one of you guys that sells plants here on AC, and what substrate should I use?

How do I sex more of his species? I want him to have eight lady friends. Should there be anything else in there with them; I know these guys are nippy so maybe no fish?

:dance::cool-1::cool-1: Thanks so much, everyone!!!!

What name should I give this little tough guy? He needs a name.
Suggestions, please.

might I suggest something along the lines of Sarge because he's been such a little soldier? Amazing job you've done! You both deserve a medal :)

Update

My little shrimp is looking really good. He's using his new arms to stuff his little face. He's grabbing (Yay!) and chowing down on the veggie and shrimp pellets I dropped into his breeder trap in the 10 gallon.

In another day or so I"m going to let him out of the plastic breeder trap and turn him loose in there with the two ADFs and lots of Ramshorns. I think he'll leave the frogs alone and focus on the fresh escargot, lol. (poor snailies)

I'll post more pics of him tomorrow.

I'm so happy for you and the lil bugger. Glad you gave him a chance. What a rewarding experience huh?
