i have lids on all my tanks that do that...... i think its not enough water flow

Water flow could be a problem. I just have a small powerhead on the tank and on and off I have put bubbler in there. For instance this morning I put the bubbler on because the film showed up again. I'll take a picture tonight before I remove the goo.

Ok. So finally I have some pictures of the tank. Sorry about the glass... I have really hard water and I haven't cleaned it since it's been set up.

i would say the rocks are the prob,, shrimp tank i would go with sand or something similar.. should fill up tank too.

The scumb has completely cleared up! I definitely think it was not enough water circulation.
