Yep, I'd definitely put everyone in the 60 together right now. You'll need more filtration or more frequent water changes, no doubt, but the shubunkin babies will be much healthier, growing up with more room.
As for food, my darlings get a staple diet of Omega One sinking pellets and dried bloodworms every day, and as treats, they get live brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, shelled peas, collard greens, romaine lettuce, carrots, green beans, algae pellets, sometimes even a few earthworms. Pretty much a little of whatever's in the fridge, or whatever live food the LFS has when I stop in. I figure if they're eating what I'm eating, and I try to eat pretty well, they'll be good and healthy.
Just be sure to wash anything you give to them. Some people feed their goldfish pieces of shrimp or chicken breast, but that's sort of a subject for debate. I try to buy organic, for myself, and it's definitely better to feed organic greens to the fish rather than plain greens, since fish are SO sensitive to chemicals. Shelled peas are good for clearing out a constipated fish, so it's good to feed them peas on a regular basis. Pelleted food with spirulina will increase their color. Any pelleted or flake food should have protein, fishmeal or some sort of meat as the main ingredient, and definitely NOT wheat as the main ingredient. It's not BAD for them, but it's sort of like eating bread as the majority of your diet. Just not great.
Anyway, good luck! :dive2:
