sick cory died...pics

thanks for the input. There is no decor in the tank, just live plants. actually when this happened there was noting in the tank and I was in the process of redoing the scaping. He was in center of the tank with the rest of the school with nothing near them.

his tank mates are
2 bala sharks
1 gold gourami
3 platy
6 molly
and a few other little fishies that I have had forever.

No clue how they were bred..I bought them at mlf.
 
Sorry, I just realized this link does not go to the correct webpage and I cannot find the page that I was reading. It described a form of chronic septicemia where the infecting bacteria is inhaled by the cory into the head, eventually resulting in spiral swimming, it showed a hole in the cory's head as a result, and of course death. It did not manifest itself in the bloody body/fin streaks we normally associate with septicemia in tropical fish.
