Hello everyone. My SD seems to be coming down with something. It looks like white mold almost on the tip of his mouth. He was still eating last night. I wish I could get pics right now but my camera is dead the charger seems to have taken a vacation. Any idea on what this could be or how to treat it?

Fungus?? Probably from an injury.

I'm checking google right now:)

and just before anyone asks, perams are perfect!! lol

yea seems like fingus to me...my sds had this on their back a few months ago and i treated it with lps stuff for fungus :)

hope it goes well
silver dollars are great fish!!

Which meds did you use? I would really hate to lose this fish:(

Also if anyone knows of any good med in general that would be great, I don't want to lose this fish or any others.

Also there are light patches all over his body.

That is one thing I was thinking it could be. If it is indeed columnaris I can treat that with copper sulfate right? I would just have to take my snails and shrimp out first right?

i think you should quaratine this fish incase it might be columnarious....

My silver dollar had a whit-ish fuzz on his lower lip and a patch on his side... my lfs gave me anti-fungus and finrot med... one treatment which worked... i cant remember the brand name it was a long time ago... some pics??
