Here is a few pictures of our new 3.5 month old betta we named Sky and his new home. Let us know what you think of him. :grinyes::headbang2:

We have silk plants because we aren't up to the level yet to care for real plants IMO :)

I'd give the betta a 4 and the tank a 2, just because I hate those fake plants & gravel.

come on guys, we are new to this whole thing. but this is our 4th tank in like a month, so obviously we have a passion for it. We are still learning to take care of the fish and keep them as happy and healthy as we can. We will move on to a live planted tank later on after we learn all we can about keeping fish. As for the betta, remember that he is still very young, 3.5 months and only an inch and a half long... so he has a little while till he gets his finnage. he is sky (powder) blue, and iridescent green depending on light.
man, you guys are narrow minded, LOL. he really seems to love his new home, is swimming all around the tank, playing in the falling water of the filter, and playing with the plant tips.
cant you guys cut us a little slack, just about everything we have learned is from this site, and talking with other hobbyist.
BTW, we choose this setup because we wanted to show off his colors and his beauty the best we could. white gravel, and darker plants and cave to accent his colors. Personally, I think that the tank does just that. IMO.

I think a little driftwood or some other ornament in that empty space would look nice... I can understand the fake plants, I had a few at first, before I really started to read about plants and that they would live in gravel... I had a ton of misconceptions about them. It's a pretty tank:)

thanks, I understand what you are saying, and thank you for the compliment. that tank setup is far from being the final stage, but for right now, being how young he is I think its fine. but we love drift wood, (we have two pieces in our 65G.) I think a piece would look good in there. Maybe we will put one in there later on.

also my camera sucks bad. it never catches the natural lighting and beauty of things like my old sony mavica.
