Small Plecos

Clown Pleco or a Bristle Nose Pleco would be your best bet. I personally have a Clown Plec, and he's my favorite fish in the tank.
Only thing about the Clowns is that they need driftwood for thier diet, and (from my observations) do not eat tank algae, although he comes right out as soon as I throw an algae tablet in. Odd world I guess =p

Small plecos that are cheap? Thats a tough one, what do you consider cheap?
L002 tiger pleco only get to be about 4"
L046 zebra pleco gets a little over 3", but not cheap $200+
L066 king tiger pleco get to ba a little ove 4" $35-$40
L104 clown pleco get to be about 4" $4-$5
L260 queen abaresque get to about 3.5" $30
L270 chocolate zebra pleco another 4" pleco $15-$20
There are a lot of other plecos that get to be 4" or smaller. The only thing is most of them are never seen at LFS. I'm sure I'm missing a few that are easily found, but it's a start.

Plecos will be fine by themselves. I've kept plecos and cories together and never had a problem with it. You said you wanted a titanic? they get a little bit bigger than 4"

Wow, what a picture!
I have an albino bushynose pleco, he's about 4" eats algae and gets along with all his tankmates. They do just fine by themselves. I would make sure to have driftwood and supplement their feedings.

Looks more like the one I saw. The guy at the store said that the one they had was full grown and it was about 4" but he could have been lying. Either way I wont get it because 200 is too much for me.

My LFS has one of these for sale, about that size too! He was an donation because the owner couldn't care for him any more. I think he is going for about $70. They actually have quite a few big fish (Pacus and misc Plecos) becuase the owners have a pond they keep them in during the warm summer months and they have big tubs where they house them while they look for perspecitve owners. I remember that pleco because I thought its body armor was impressive!
