Hi I am new to the forum and also have these tiny white spots all over my tank, on anything that has a texture, including my mystery snail. Are they harmful?

I will have to agree with the above that they are nerite eggs and will eventually go away with no harm caused to the carrier of the eggs.

Angie do you have some type of nerite snails in your tank?

OK I did more research.....looks like I do have nerites along with my mystery snail!
Good to know the eggs aren't harmful!

The one one the right is a Neritina (Vittina) semiconica aka spotted red snail, the one on the right might be a black Vita usnea or a Neritina (Vittina) jovis. Where did you get these guys?

Wow, thanks for the ID! I think we got them at Petsmart here in Ontario. We have been baffled by those dots for a couple months now! Great to know what they are finally!!

dont do it angie dont look at em! If you do, it's almost a sure bet you'll get hooked and end up buying a bunch of snails from arakkis (they're gorgeous >.>)

...I do love the Clithon corona I bought from him though ^^
