So I just changed my Co2 solution for the first time...

If you drink it, make sure you can lots of toilet paper :eek3:

made blackberry wine the same way

Hey, I don't know how many of you have any chem experience but there are other things made when you make alcohol. Ever heard of rotgut? its not just wiskey it has other chemicals in it that can permenatley damage your organs.

All alcohol has some impurities and those made this way are even more dangerous because they contain high levels of methanol, butanol, propanol, and other acohols besides the Ethenol you drink. Also if you distill it you also concentrate the other alcohols.

Interesting fact for those of you that like vodka and related drinks. Alot of vodka is made from crude oil. The different flavors of straight vodka is caused by slight impurities.

Anyway I don't recomend drinking it as it can give you jake leg which is a serious mental problem caused by drinking the wrong kinds of alcohol

I wouldn't suggest drinking it for a number of reasons, not the least of which being the above post.

It will probably taste bad.
It won't be very strong; about the strength of wine, so it won't be like taking shots of liquor.
You'll probably get a very upset stomach, and get very ill if you drink enough to become intoxicated.
The container you use isn't sterile, and probably isn't very well cleaned between uses.

But hey, it's your body, and your brain.

Which is why I said that it's up to you if you want to drink it. However, methanol is *far* more damaging than ethanol. Fermented properly? What exactly does that entail? And what are the chances that anyone is doing that next to his or her aquarium?

Bottom line is; It's not a good idea to drink random rotted sugar water.
